Solomon 02:51
You can’t account for everything that you imagine All your wildest dreams won’t hazard a guess He’ll come along to you with his open mouth Spouting phrases of magical wonders He’ll say “Behold me in my splendor, I am come to take you home.” But I do fine without the help of the blind Who am I to say that you can’t walk the Line is drawn in sand on paper Language has become a jailor They’re giving prizes for the biggest bounty Wives and gold and all you fancy But in the end those very things you wanted They will turn your heart away And I do fine without the help of the blind Who am I to say that you can’t walk the line I tried, but found that compromise Won’t keep me from the open arms of light

Hungry hogs On the back of every nation try to tell them You last a while, fall then give the new Blood a try at running things to the ground You’re wide awake Like the morning it all changed You come back to me when I call you It’s not the right reason to break down And walking away from you was the Best thing that I ever had to do In my life or dreams, your face is One in a million, can you imagine How small that that is Hallowed halls We come here for answers I used to get them when I prayed Now it’s raining reason Drenching my mind with logic and history I can’t believe that we hold on so long Braiding Ages into Myths So when we’re gone, Our lives live on Through monuments tall and strong We raise them to the sky Anchors in the sun

Hour Is Late 03:42
The hour is late Where have you been tonight Don’t lie this time You can’t hide all the weird shit that you’re doing The kids already know Yeah they know I guess I fucked it up again ‘cause you don’t want me around You’re breathing fire on the ground It’s a lonely mountaintop when you Disappear a lot, I know It’s just a matter of time The reasons why it breaks sometimes are beyond me And feeling like a chasm’s opening At times I try at times I feel evasive I guess I fucked it up again ‘cause you don’t want me around You’re breathing fire on the ground It’s a lonely mountaintop when you Disappear a lot, I know It’s just a matter of time In front of God and all our friends Said we’d see it to the end Said we’d see it to the end
4.
For every time you say, “I’m sorry, dear” I’ll make you pay with feelings you never knew were in you Let’s elevate our minds ‘til this thing is all we need A face full of allergies can drive you In today shutting the outside away In today shutting the outside away Separate the line between love and hate Gone, gone, gone are the days of young When I could relate to anything that turns you I decided a long time ago It’s not a necessity to explain to Those who were doubting all the time
5.
Bad Advice 05:03
Don’t be afraid to care Press your eyes and find emotion underneath your pillow Come clean for the first time in your life I want you here beside me Brazen is the voice That declares the defeat of young ambition They’ll tell you that it’s good advice A steady job for all your life I want you here beside me Our hearts can rearrange Our sympathies and dispositions Your brain is giving bad advice Break all the bonds that keep you from me I need you here beside me You are not alone When the world shows the worst it has to offer I’ll carry you for all my life I want you here beside me Break all the bonds that keep you from me I need you here beside me

about

Cloud Person started as a moniker that Pete Jordan used for lofi demo recordings.
After the demise of his previous rock band, Pete decided to rerecord some of the demos and release them as an EP with no game plan in mind. Just for the hell of it.
He enlisted the services of Betsy Johnson(Violin) and Cameron Arneson(Bass), both of whom he ended up starting Cloud Person the band with, along with Matt Zook(Clarinet) and Justin Neff(Native American Flute) for finishing touches to the mostly recorded EP and released it as 'Anchors in the Sun' in March of last 2012.

At one point in the past, they were a 3-piece folk band and even further back CP was the solo endeavor of songwriter and singer Pete Jordan.
